Skin cancer treatment.
Biopsy of suspicious lesions and excision of proven skin cancers.
Wellbeing Skin can offer the following skin cancer investigations and treatments:
- Biopsies of suspicious lesions: a simple procedure where a small sample of a lesion is sent away for analysis.
- Excisional biopsy: some moles and spots need complete removal to be sent away for analysis, such as in the case of suspected melanomas, or other skin cancers clearly identifiable on dermoscopy.
- Diagnosis and definitive treatment of melanoma, and when required referral for specialist treatment.
- Field treatment of sun damaged skin: sun damage can often present as dry patches of skin with uneven colour and tone. This can often be treated with topical creams.
